Tudor blue is such an amazing little design.
It's a bit oversized for me though. Wish they had it designed with 40mm case.

I looked at that watch and it is not a good looking design imo. 99% of luxury mechanical watches Im almost guaranteed to dislike simply because of the look. They generally look too busy for my tastes. I prefer sleek and modern which they generally dont have.

Perhaps luxury mechanical watches are not for you then, although I would contend that there are some simpler designs among luxury watches (dress watches, Royal Oak series, IWC Mark series, some of the Richard Milles like RM10 I think, etc).

Not really sure how a Tudor pelagos (blue or black) is too busy. There's nothing going on besides snowflake hands, square hour markers, and titanium case. No gold lume surrounds or anything that's on one of it's bigger brothers from Rolex. Just pure "tool" watch, a nod to the older, vintage blue Tudor subs. But, that's why there are so many watch styles to choose from. People have varying tastes.

I'd like a black s/s with a sport band. I don't really go nice places so I don't need a nice band and I work outside so I don't want the band getting scratches and such. I would pay for a nice band for the times (few) I go to a nice event as long as it would be compatible with future versions of the watch.

I just hope they offer the black s/s in a cheaper option once they are available in store.

When the Watch 2 comes out will I be able to just to buy a watch so I can use my existing bands? (I know ... apple doesn't comment on products not announced)

I know what you mean.

I honestly feel a lot of this is that adult males today are still, in many ways, mentally children and still want the look they liked when they are a teenager.

Some grow out of it, whilst some still love that look.

Notice the rise in chunky, mine is bigger than yours, mine is heavier than yours, look at the dials mine has, all that stuff that you take to school aged 12 to show off to your class mates.

I'm very much in your camp, less is more.
Slim, Plain, Classy, Quality, THIN, elegant.

All the things current boys/men watches mostly are not these days.
You can still find them if you look.

I personally think you get what you pay for.

I'd rather spend $250 on a strap that is make of quality material and will last longer than a knock off for $75.

Especially with the knock off Milanese loop on amazon- I'll be it'll turn your skin green in 6 weeks.

They are definitely overpriced but I still bought an extra leather loop.

Just like iphone cases from apple, they are well over the average price but tend to compliment the lines and curves of the phone better than most other cases.

I'm sure there will be some nice third party bands but I'm confident apple is releasing some perfect companion bands that will compliment the watch perfectly
