If you don't like 3.0 over 2.x then you're an idiot.

If you're having reception problems, etc. then do a wipe and reinstall 3.0. If you still have problems, call ATT or replace your phone through Apple if it's under warranty. It's not 3.0's fault.

Nope, 3.0 just made my phone a whole lot better; Landscape alone made it worth the upgrade, I couldn't live without it now.

My only issue with the 3.0 upgrade is the battery life. I used to be able to go two days and have a little left over. Now I don't make it two days. I have bluetooth, Wifi, push and location services turned off and still have the problem.

I will say my sister had an interesting issue last night when she upgraded. Somehow the phone rebooted in German. I can't be 100% sure she didn't do something, but it was easily fixed.

I agree that there should at least be options for those who do not like the new features to turn them off. But I am definitely glad that they have implemented them in 3.0.

I assume this comment refers to me.

A couple of points:

1. You have no idea what is and what isn't 3.0's fault. The fact of the matter is that I had no issues before 3.0 and after upgrading I had issues. You have neither access to my phone nor any in depth knowledge of the iPhone OS, so it is impossible for you to make that claim.

2. It seems to me the idiot is the person that takes someone's opinion of a phone OS so personally. You need to get some perspective.

3. Last night, I did a wipe and re-install and it seems to be better. I wish this wasn't necessary and I lost a lot of time and app data that I could not back up. So I am still a little upset at 3.0.

Apple Logo of Death after installing 3.0 is pretty damn annoying. I'm fairly certain it's a third party app causing mobilewatchdog issues, but without knowing which one (or which few), testing is a long and arduous process (delete all apps, load one, reboot, move it to another screen and/or open it, etc, reboot, try next app, repeat).

I wish the OS could handle whatever was causing the issue.

I don't know about anyone else but it seems like there's a memory leak bc I'm running through my battery and my 3G seems sluggish

I agree. I love the features of 3.0, but since updating, my battery life is pretty bad and the phone gets really sluggish after a while, until I reboot it.

COPY & PASTE!. Landscape. nuff said. I didn't think I'd use copy & paste that much, and didn't "miss" it.. b-4.. I use it all the TIME now. ALL the time... less than a week (6 days... didn't upgrade my 2G). Landscape texting??? E-mailing??? C'mon... . who can hate these things??? PLUS... (this is a personal note [3GS]... not a 3.0 issue) since I upgraded.. I've realized that I'm surrounded by a 3G network, even though AT*T's map says entirely different.

My 2G phone had wifi connectivity issues some times, not recognizing obvious wifi spots. (non 3.0). So, I'm not sure it's a 3.0 issue.. rather either a hardware issue or spotty reception.

I have no regrets at all.

Everything seems faster.
However, I do admit the copy/select tool popup can kinda be obtrusive.

First Generation iPhone with 3.0?

I am using a first gen jailbroken iPhone in Beijing. Is it worth it to upgrade to 3.0? Will I have to jailbreak again?
