Quite content with the iPhone 7 Plus. The whole headphone jack thing is a moot point for me. I can't tell you the last time I tried to listen to music from my phone (I don't work out, don't dash for the tube - anymore).

Again, as I've said in other threads, the one thing I'd really like, is Apple to allow the customer to customize the device that THEY paid for.

Honestly, I simply want the option to:
- place my icons anywhere I'd like on my screen(s)
- have a transparent dock (we have this now with that black wallpaper for the iPhone 7 Plus Matte Black)
- option to have widgets of choice, anywhere on the screen

Yes, all cosmetic things, but...

I'll add some thoughts after 24h of use (which I know, is not very much)...

That display! So good. I was on an iPhone SE before, which has a nice display, I think. Vibrant, no air gap, good pop... and the iPhone 7 blows it out of the water!

Build quality on my unit is top notch. I've always been one to scrutinize new devices and though I'm trying not to do that this time, I can't help but notice there is no backlight bleed or 'spotlighting,' I see even colors all the way through, the body of the phone (matte black, not jet) is perfect... Just a lovely experience.

There will always be complainers (and often I am one of them) but for now I can say I straight-up love my iPhone 7!

So glad to hear you like your new phone! I'm about to make the same upgrade (from SE to the 7) primarily for the bigger and better display. Can you comment on the battery life compared to the SE? My SE has amazing battery life so I'm afraid I will miss this on the 7.

I get at least two days battery life with my iPhone 7 Plus, and that is with medium use. Less use since I have an Apple Watch...

I'm in love with my jet black 7 as well. Got some large micro scratches but only a month after going caseless. I'm glad I upgraded!

The MB iPhone 7 is a really good looking phone. It's not different enough to make me fall in love with it, but I'm enjoying it more than the 6 and 6s. It's a refinement of a design I'm not massively keen on.

im a dude, got a Bros gold as well, didnt like the other colors. i love how the white antenna lines contrast with the aluminum body, and you cant really appreciate it on the other colors. and man this thing is a real beauty. great camera, no manual mode like on my samsung S7 but i never really used it much, fast/responsive, etc, etc. great battery life, although no fast charging is a bummer. the fingerprint sensor is definitely the fastest i have ever used, much faster than the S7, and the home button and system haptics feel really great. love spinning that damn alarm wheel lol

You can use the camera with full manual controls with a number of apps, and can even shoot in RAW with the right app. If you want manual mode, the iPhone definitely has it.
[doublepost=1481670821][/doublepost]I still miss the headphone jack (and always will), but I love my 7 Plus otherwise. They really nailed it, IMO.

Don't worry about it. I did the same upgrade and haven't had any problems whatsoever. About on par, IIRC.

Just uploaded 10.2 iOS and I noticed the 7Plis is even faster. Am very spoiled by the speed of everything on this phone. I have to use an android tablet for work, and I near pull my hair out waiting and waiting for each function to execute.

I never cared for motion and I turn that off. Makes phone even faster. Screens just pop up instead of unfold.

My wife and I are quite happy with our new 7's. I got a matte Black and she got a rose gold and we've had no real issues with them yet. I'm not fond of the home button and how it works, but I'll get used to it eventually, (tired of bringing up Siri when I want to go to the main page). All in all a better phone than my previous 5s.

I hated the home button at first as well, but over time it's become one of my favorite features.

The 7 is a highly refined, mature product. Nothing terrible exciting, but it works flawlessly, has blazing speed, and feels premium all around. As others have said, the redesigned home button is really nice. I have the 128GB Matte Black version, and I'm still impressed how visually striking it is.

I still love my MB 7+. The quality feel, water resistance, speakers, performance and especially the screen which has to be the best screen of any smartphone - the colors and brightness are just gorgeous and not oversaturated like the Samsung screens.

At first, I was disappointed that there was no design change (I upgraded from a 6+), but the internals were more than enough to make me happy. From a hardware perspective, Apple did an amazing job of optimization.

I've gotten used to the iconic design, and like it because just feels durable with an Apple Silicone case. I travel a lot, and to a lot of out-of-the-way places, and the sturdy design and water resistance are more important than being the thinnest, lightest, or bezel-less.

Love the home button too!

i'm incredibly happy with my new iPhone 7 that I got just this past Friday. I upgraded from a iPhone 4s, so you can imagine how much BETTER the overall experience is. Fast and zippy, good looking in black. Goodness, the size is perfect (holding it in the hand to do stuff is a joy). Tried out the ear buds today and their pretty cool, actually. I mean, they work, and I got no problem with it.

So, yeah, just gushing. It's a really great phone. And I also love the Home button; my wife says she'd be bothered with it maybe, but I quite like it.

went for the 7 plus this year as I felt that if I had gone with the 4.7 inch 7 all I would have had was a new camera bump (had 4.7 iphone 6 and 6s previously).

Anyone else feel the same?
Best phone I've ever owned and used, both CPU and graphics is ridiculously fast and smooth, and the improved haptic feedback motor feels great IMO; the clickless home button is a definite improvement I would say. So happy to be rid of the noisy clunky spinning weight buzzers most phones use; the linear motor in the 7 makes almost no sound at all and doesn't "hammer" into the surface it rests on when laid down flat.

Downside: the bezels really are way too large making it feel chunky to put in a pants pocket. Also, it's too thin and quite slippery, it's difficult to hold without a case IMO - which is bad when dealing with such an expensive piece of kit as an Apple smartphone... Also, camera bulge, although aesthetically more pleasing than the 6/6S series' bulge, is a design fail overall.

These matters aside, still by far best phone I ever used. Seriously impressive piece of kit.

And no, I don't miss the headphone jack.
