No

Purposely ignoring it. There's nothing appealing about it at all .

The blending of iOS with the Mac OS proves Apple's early denial that this would happen was a complete lie. As Apple morphs into one big consumer electronics company centered on gadgets and gizmos , it'll be no surprise when computers are phased out.

A very disappointing yet not surprising outcome.

I will say that i use 3D touch for a lot. It is faster in a lot of cases. Music is faster to play and I can call my favorites with a quick press and tap.

The main place I use 3D touch is in messages for links so I can see the web page before I open it (Look at it now, or I add it to my reading list). I also use it a lot in the music app. App short cuts is another big area. I mainly don't use it in apps.

Never used it whatsoever when I had a Macbook except for when I accidentally triggered it. Eventually I turned it off altogether.

I rarely use it on Macbook and iPhone. It can sometimes be useful when highlighting a date on a webpage to create an event in the calendar. But mostly it's just a gimmick in my opinon.

Dozens of times a day, it's incredibly handy in finding out if a link is merely clickbait or if there is real content to pop into.

I find myself using it more accidentally than on purpose. Perhaps if there was a way to better customize it? I mean, don't get me wrong, I see the utility with dictionary, but some other options would be nice as well.

Can you do anything with it in Better Touch Tool?

If you pop up a link with it, is it not the same as loading the actual page? I've always been curious about this.

Nope, if you're still pressing you can see the page in a pop over. If I deem that link to not be worth my time I just stop pressing and I'm still exactly where I left off, rather than having a new tab open or having to hit the back button. Incredibly useful.

Expect much more from the Force Touch and 3D touch technologies at WWDC.

Interesting. Good to know, thanks.

Ok - I'll try it again - You convinced me that I need to open the mind back up and try it again..

Any other suggestions for usage? As stated above, perhaps something with BetterTouchTool?

You know, I used to have BTT (love everything about it, and it's made the Touchbar on the new machine infinitely more useful) but I haven't used it at al since I got my 2015 MBP so I honestly don't know what features are available in regards to Force Touch.

I use it for the dictionary a lot. I also use it for previewing webpages, namely forum threads. It's also handy for checking version numbers of apps or seeing how big folders are.

I think it's really handy.

How do you delete posts?
I can't figure it out

For me I have a delete button next to my Edit button (on the computer --- not sure about mobile)
