Does anyone have any confidence for for the new Siri AI?

AI is poisoning our phones/internet with how many helpful “chatbots” are appearing everywhere. With the new Siri chatbot supposedly on the way I don’t have much confidence in that either, even with the delays we’ve had.
Look at Macrumours’ own “chatbot”, it can’t even get simple facts right about the latest iPad pros (mind you this was a suggested prompt on the iPad page!!).
I don’t look forward to Siri gas lighting me into thinking my next meeting already took place, tomorrows flight is actually next year or whatever else it decides to hallucinate

Isn't the new siri largely just Gemini?

I'd say given how well google has caught up in the AI sector, I'd say if it is a just a front end to Gemini, it will probably be pretty good. If its Apple trying to do AI, I'm less confident.

I absolutely hate the AI chatbots that have become the front line "support" for so many companies.

I think it's going to be a huge improvement. Google has one of the best LLMs right now. I expect Apple to trade performance for power consumption. But it ought to have some great on-device performance nevertheless, and do even better with an internet connection. We'll see.
