OMG that's insane. Just the sheer number of his stuff and the price to sell all of it! Well I only have 2 left. Both in Mint condition boxed away. PowerBook G4 Titanium 1GZ. 20th Anniversary Mac. Both just sitting nicely away so that I can give it to my daughter when I kick the bucket. She can then keep it or sell it to an Apple enthusiast.

How old is your daughter?

I ask because it has been my experience that electronics that just sit for years on end without being disturbed have a tendency to either not work or fail to start when unboxed and 'turned on'.

And yes, I have been accused of Schrödinger's cat in regard to sealed NIB old Apple devices.

Oh yeah I’ve read about that. The internal battery is the issue most of the time. Replace that and it should work. Also when boxed seal it up right nice dry dark space. I have it stored so weather elements is not an issue. I also have an Original Mac Portable in mint condiiton in its original carry bag. I forgot i have that also. Battery is dead and that type of battery one has to modify to make it work. Anyway she’s 30.

Assuming the internal battery hasn't leaked and destroyed the thing...

@bunnspecial/Gamer94/AphoticD/ProjectAlice and others. If you could keep one, and one only of your collection, which would it be? And the reason.
You show me your's, I'll show you mine.;)
If I'd have to, I'd let go:

68k-Macs:
- Macintoshs and phonecord-networking stuff (experimental, too vintage)
PowerMacs:
- iMac G3 (weight, screen, brittle plastic)
- iMac G4 (maintainance, dust, speakers, no-os9)
- eMac G4 (one of it's kind. never liked it: clumsy, ungly, no handle ...)
- iMac G5 (no-os9)
- iBookG3 Clamshell (screen-resolution, brittle plastic, replacement-parts)
- iBookG3 Snow (smell)
- iBookG4/PowerBookG4 (no-os9)
- PowerBooks G3 (poor OSX; even though important network-link between 68k and PPC)
- PowerMac G3 B&W/G4 Yikes,Sawtooth,MDD/G4-Cube/G5 (too clumsy, needs display and speakers)
- miniG4 (os9 only via hacked installation, needs Display)
early intels:
- iMacs 2006/07, white case (OSX only up to Lion, dying GPU)
- iMacs 2008/09, alu/black (c2d&OSX outperformed*)
- early 2008 15/17" MBP (delicate GPU, c2d&OSX outperformed*)
- late 2008 MB(P) (OSX outperformed*)
- 2008/2009 15" MBP (c2d&OSX outperformed*)

*) outperformed by my daily driver: mid2012 15" MBP9,1

That decision will leaves me with:
Vintage:
TiPowerBookG4 (great Display; os9 & OSX-Tiger; not smelly, fits in, when space becomes a matter)
(maybe leaving the iBookG3 FW466 Clamshell graphite behind, was the hardest part of this contest ...)
Current:
mid2012 15" MBP9,1 (32bit-Mojave, OCLP/Monterey-Ventura-Sonoma; Boot-Win10; bunch of VMs)
2013 11" MBA6.1 (OCLP/Ventura)

Less might be more ...
So ready to move into a tiny-house.

(but in fact: I'm unfortunately not ready for lettin' any of them go.)

I appreciate the thought that you put into that consideration. I too have many Macs and it is a difficult topic to think about letting them go. I also have an appreciation for tiny homes, as well as the thought of my kids dealing with my collections when I pass on, but just can't bring myself to part with any of them.
