Like the title stated, does anyone test or know Verizon phones still come with unlocked, I know there is a Sim Free version, but just want to know if Verizon phones already come fully unlocked.
Thanks
Thanks
You will need to be a bit clearer as I cannot tell what you mean by “still come with unlocked”. <— English syntax errorLike the title stated, does anyone test or know Verizon phones still come with unlocked, I know there is a Sim Free version, but just want to know if Verizon phones already come fully unlocked.

I thought I heard the iPhone 2018 version are not fully unlocked straight from the box. Because they're try to protect thief?Yes they do, but no difference between Sim Free and Verizon.
What do you mean by ‘with fully unlocked’ this is not proper English. If English is a second language for you you may wish to clarify your statement. No, i mean. Previous Verizon iPhone models come with fully unlocked, you can use with other carriers. (after 1st bill I guess)
But now I am wonder the new iPhone models XS, XS Max and XR still unlocked or is it locked to Verizon only?
Are you purchasing on contract or off contract? No, i mean. Previous Verizon iPhone models come with fully unlocked, you can use with other carriers. (after 1st bill I guess)

If you are paying in full and are not doing any special financing through Verizon, whether you buy from them or Apple (in store or online) it’s unlocked. Additionally, all phones are universally compatible with all carriers this year. So you could buy one with a T-Mobile SIM, remove it and stick in a Verizon SIM and you would be okay.off contract.
The phone has to be activated on a Verizon network first, at which point it becomes unlocked and can be used on another carrier. But the initial activation has to happen on Verizon’s network. By that statement do you mean to say that if the phone is purchased from Verizon it is initially locked as a anti theft deterrent, then once activated it is unlocked?
In that case I just would buy from anyone other than Verizon and save myself the hassle.Only the Verizon phones. Sim free phones are unlocked. They can be activated on any network at the beginning.

No need to check status, after you’ve been activated on the Verizon network for 24 hours it unlocksSo how do you check status.
You can contact Verizon or there are websites that say they can check if you supply your imei# but I’m not sure how safe that is. The fool proof way is to put a different carrier sim into your phone and see if it allows you to make callsOK but I'm curious how you check
So how do you check status.
