I like it. Not liking the battery drain. I for one had grown to like iOS 18 photos after customising it to minimal. I like the new photos layout but would have liked the ability to deselect some of the collection options so as to minimalise that page without just collapsing them. Not a major gripe!

Now I've had a week or so to get used to it, I'm finding it ok. Some of the translucency is bit tricky at times-i've not accessed the accessibility settings to change it because I want to stick it out. I think another issue for me is clutter-sometimes it feels like a few of the UI elements are too close together, then combine that with the translucency and it becomes difficult to use.

Safari I think for, so far, is the worst app of all of them. Everything else I'm ok with, but it just feels messy. I don't like the button to open a menu to access all tabs: give me the old one back. Sometimes there is too much going on in Safari on the websites I'm using to then add clunky buttons or translucent elements

My battery drain on my 15PM (95% bat. health) was ok after a couple of days. My 17PM battery seems to be draining at the same rate-I only ever charge to 80%, and by the end of the day yesterday, I was down to around 18%.

In regards to Photos, ended up making it work in much the same way, but I do like the Photos app now. The tab to flick between camera roll and folders makes it much easier to use. And the fact you can minimise the categories in the collections tab is handy too. I Sync albums from my Mac, and one gripe i've always had is that aswell as syncing the folders I select, I always get a 'People' folder too: which I don't want! I have that in the Photos app, I don't eed one created when I sync the photos from the Mac. No way to stop it though, which is annoying!

Loving iOS26 more and more. Aside from the speed and smoothness of this early version, I really like how colorful it is and the design choices suit me, as well (for example, I love the new Photos app layout).

I like it a lot, especially 26.1 beta - I'm finding thats fixed a lot of small issues and Liquid Glass is starting to get to what I expected based on WWDC

I wish they’d change the order of the swipe options in mail.

The first icon you see as you start to swipe left is the trash icon. You have to either tap on the red icon or swipe left again to actually send the email to trash but it being the first icon you see makes it feel like you’re about to trash the email when you want to do something else like forward it or move it to a folder. I think the more icon should be on the right (and first one you see) and trash on the left.

Don’t have any heat issues. I always do a few hard reboots after installing a new iOS. It’ll be 48hrs around 21:30 since installing so I’ll wait and see how it is by the weekend!

I like it, only thing I don’t is the compact setting for the safari tab bar, changed it back to the bottom setting from compact so tabs are easier to manage.

Now that I’m used to it I find the compact setting easier to manage 😁 YMMV.

Feels like last iOS had reached "perfection". I don't mean that in terms that it's the best iOS that could ever exist but in way that Appel was unable to upgrade it in a meaningful way. Now they are changing things just to change things, I don't oppose that on principle but to my ergonomic and aesthetic senses it's at best a sidegrade, though more likely a downgrade. If we leave out things like changing background and quick access tools, it's the first time I had to fiddle with settings to configure how some things look in my 15 years of iPhone ownership. My family members also weren't thrilled when I updated their phones.

"We need to change something but we aren't sure what, so screw it, let's go with this, it's not amazing but it will do." - coming to iPhones near you, whether you like it or not.

Now I initially seriously disliked iOS 26 and had a few rants on random threads about it, but having lived with it on for more than a week on on my workphone I have to say its rather ok. Sure, I do like the look of iOS18 but I'm also the type of guy that changed Windows 11 instantly to look a bit more like Windows 2000.
In my mind its a clean look....in most others its the look that a booring old school 40+ guy that refuses to change has.

What annoys me is the bugs that should really have been addressed and fixed before release.
That's why I haven't updated my daily driver (16 pro) to 26.0 and will wait for 26.1. For some reason it seems like pro models are affected more by bugs, could it be the 120hz or something else? Anywho, hope the do get it sorted in the next release.
