Yeah I do. Used to keep it on the device but then I got a few to many apps so now I stream using home sharing.

The iPad has a nicer speaker than the iPod or iPhone. I drive a lot, so since headphones in the car is illegal I will listen to the iPad. Turn it upside down and let the speaker play music. I am going to get a nano for music while running, but the iPad fills a few niches for music in my life.

I listen to Pandora or Slacker Radio when chillin on the couch surfing the web with my iPad.

No; there are some "emergency" songs stored (Billy Joel) but not really used.

Thats what my iPhone and iMac is for; and since some days I reactivated my old iPod Touch 3G connected to an Airport Express. Thats actually quite nice and replace my iMac as sound machine (and I can shutdown my NAS and save energy)

all the time. i'm usually using the ipad browsing the web in bed, and i like to put on music while i read. the sound quality doesn't bother me.

I do a lot of reading on the train. If it's really loud on the train (it usually is) I put on my headphones and listen to music while I read Wired or The Daily. If it's a regular fiction book, I usually don't do this for some reason--takes away from the story somehow.

I also find the iPad 2's speaker to be just fine for casual listening/background music.
