Does anyone regret choosing black over white vice versa?

Yes, that's what bothers me about it. The black/chrome/white look. Too much going on and it just doesn't seem to go together right for me. As a whole.
I think white on the front would be a disaster and bad for viewing vids, etc. Distracting.

I'm getting swayed back to the Black. I'm looking at it now and it's stunning. Then there's the case issue though. OMG. Well, I really wanted to go caseless but WHEN I do use a case I want a black one for stealth so why not get the white to have basically both but I'm sick of cases, and......
Why did they have to make 2 colors?

All I know is I like both better than the 2-toned Silver/Black 2g (and shape)
I'd be curious as to what age range prefers which color. My guess is very young = white, older = black.

Black here. White eventually can look dingy. Besides, my iPhone lives in a case and there are more options for black cases than there are for white cases (and a white case would definitely get dingy quickly).

I may have missed them, but is there anyway you can take shots of the side of the phones to see how the black or white meets the chrome?

I want black

If I go to the store and they only have 16-gig white, I would not care one bit

Neither is that bad looking no matter how much you like the other color
 
At first I was leaning toward the black, but as I saw more and more pics I started leaning toward the white. When I was the 5th one in the store on Friday I ended up going with white one and I am really happy with my choice. For me the black is very nice and sleek looking, but the fingerprints would drive me nuts. I like the white and am hoping it will not get dingy..but if it starts to get dingy, we all know it will not be too long before another iphone launches :) :apple:

When I was in line to buy yesterday, they came out and announced that they only had 8 GBs and 16 GBs in white left, so I let that make up my mind. After I'd already been charged, the guy next to me was offered a black 16 GB; apparently there were 3 left after all. I talked myself into having them exchange my white one for a black one.

Even though the white one looks a little hotter now, both my original iPhone and the 3G get very hot, especially when watching video, and I don't want a yellowed iPhone ala the white MacBook.
 
Didn't want white at first, but now I like it!

I was about #35 in line on Friday. By the time I got in, all they had left was white. I DETEST white, but I bought it anyway. Well, I gotta tell ya, I am really liking it! I can't believe it. It just looks really nice. I'm gonna slap a blue leather cover on it anyway, so what the heck. But, yeah, I am really liking the white.

BTW, I brought my wolfhound to wait in line with me on Friday. Somebody picked her up just before 8 because I kinda doubt they'd let her in the store. :)
 
black makes the device look more slim than it actually is, but white makes it seem bulky. that's just how it is. that's y i regret getting a white iPod when the black one seemed so much more slim.

no offense but what the hell does that have to do with anything?

the more i see the white the more i like it. when i went into softbank today to try and see if the had any, they had a black one on display and it looked filthy. i hope that they have a white when the finally have some, but truthfull i will take whatever is available
 
I still hadn't decided between black and white when I walked into the Telia store at 3am friday morning here in Stockholm. Many in the line were going to get the white one while I had originally intended to get a black one however all the talk about white ones made me think twice. As soon as I walked into the store, a Telia rep asked me what colour and size I wanted and with which contract so I had to make up my mind on the spot. I went black. I love the look of the black but still wonder if I made the right choice. It does attract a lot of fingerprints and lint is very easily seen on it. Still, I think black looks cooler. Ugh! I'm still second-guessing lol!
 
I got black. I got black. But now I want white. Though that previous comment about the yellowing that might happen through heat makes me panic.

I am 90% sure I'm exchanging mine on Tuesday.

Word has it that because you are forced to open your package before you leave the store, that they don't charge a restocking fee if you wish to exchange.

I give my iPhone credit as I got it on launch day last year and it is still going strong but damn, I have scratches all on the corners and back. It does look bad.

I brought the white model. It's like a bar of soap.

BTW, I bought it to work today and everyone started to *hold* it. Same goes when I went to the nearby Starbucks store, a couple barista wanted to touch it.
 
I wanted white just to be different but they were out when I got there so I ended up with black. Im actually glad I ended up with a black one since it just looks so damn sleek and stealth. I think both look good but Im glad I got "stuck" with the black one.
 
well i finally just got mine here in Japan. the selection here is very limited but i go 8gb black one. i really wanted the 16gb white one but they said mid August is when they will get more, so needless to say i scooped up the black 8gb when i had the chance. i don't regret it but i do still want the white one so i asked if i could exchange it when they got more and she said maybe so we will see. otherwise, i mean my last iphone was only half full anyways so i dont think i really "need" 16gb.
