I have a 15" mbp and am considering the new retina 13" mbp to use along side. Is this idea unheard of or is it preferable to buy an iMac as the main desktop?

Not so sure Apple has fixed all issues that is happening with big brother 15" rMBP. 1st generation is always something that apple tests it out. Good luck. I hope you won't get LG or Sammy with yellow tint or dead pixels and hot issue which CPU hit 90-100+ c easily.

I'm not sure what you do... but in my experience, it's always been a pain to have to switch between two different mice/keyboards. I just use an external monitor if I'm doing more than 2 things at once...

On a side note, if I do use 2 computers, it's usually a desktop windows and a laptop mac... using the desktop for busy work, photoshop or a file server.

I might suggest maybe selling your 15" and just buying the 15" retina, but having two laptops might make perfect sense in your case!

Haha nah man Serato is the tits. If he only uses Serato then he's only using one laptop then?

I know he runs Serato and I seen him use two laptops with it...he's always djin with two Dj's...

Traktor Pro all the waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy!! lol

Dont really see the reason to buy another portable computer that would downspec.

I use my iMac 27in along with my 17in MBP.
Also to transfer data, I use my 11in MBA along sometimes.
