Using my 3G only when I need to use MyWi. Awaitin patiently for the IPhone 4 to be JB'ed.

The home button on my 3G which was purchased within a week of its release just over two years ago completely quit working in May. Apple let me buy a replacement iPhone 3G (same model) for $200 without extending my contract. My wife has a 3GS so I was hoping to "live" with my 3G until her contract is up so both our contracts match up.

Since I will be waiting at least six more months for her to qualify for the six months of early termination, I'm curious to see two things. (1) Are the iPhone coming to Verizon in January rumors true? (2) And I'm curious to see how all this antenna-gate thing plays out. I am typically an early adopter on new Apple products. I purchased the first generation Nano on its release date, the iPhone 3G I have in the first week of its release, and my new 15" MacBook Pro i5 on its release date. The irony for me is, my home button failing is the only reason I don't have the iPhone 4 right now. Getting a brand new 3G feels like enough of a band-aid to make it until my wife's contract is closer to being up.

I beat you all. I still have and proudly use an original iPhone 2G. Over three years old, it works beautifully well, and is as nippy as ever.

I jailbroke it and installed BossPrefs which lets me close down unwanted programs that start up in the background (e.g. Mail.app), and I also turn off as many background services as possible (location services, bluetooth etc).

The battery lasts about 2 days, and I send about 30 texts a day, and lots of app use, internet browsing etc.

Sadly it was stolen last sunday :( I was planning to sell it to fund buying a BB or iPhone 4. It was still worth over £100 from CEX the reseller people.

:(:(

I still have a 3G and use it allot. I still have one of every model iPhone. My original iPhone still holds a charge like it was brand new and lasts between 1.5-2 days when I use it. Right now, I'm using an iPhone 4, an 8GB 3GS on 4.0, and a 32GB 3GS on 3.1.3. I use all three all the time. :)

I'm still rocking the 2G. Though it gets treated worse every day now. I'm waiting for the white iPhone along with my girlfriend. I dropped my 2G a couple weeks ago and left a big nasty dent right below the camera. Still works like a champ though. Definitely a tough little phone. It took me about a year and a half to put my first and only minor scratch on the screen. They sure don't make them like they used to.

Still on my 3G. After upgrading to ios4 it's getting slower by the day. I also fail to answer calls sometimes. Desperatly trying to touch the screen, but nothing happens.

Still have the 3G, the wife's not convinced I need the new iPhone 4... and since I'm a foreigner in Japan and can't get a credit card, I could only get the iPhone 3G on my Japanese wife's credit card. She holds the power yea or nay in terms of credit card purchases here.

Im still sporting the 3G. Im in canada so i have to wait until the end of july to get my iphone. However, i have been thinking if i even want to upgrade with all the problems with the current iphone 4. If i upgrade this year i will not be able to get one next year because i would not be eligible for a hardware upgrade- here we sign a 3 year contract

I am refraining from upgrading my OS to iOS4 because i have heard it has made some 3G realy slow. But I dont know if it can get much worse than what i deal with. Its frustrating, it takes me 20 seconds to open the mms tab and when i am listening to music and attempting to multitask, my phone freezes and the music skips pissing me off. I need a new phone!!!

Bought my white iPhone 3G a few days after the launch here in Holland and I still use it today (with 3.1.3) but I want a white iPhone 4 to replace it. ;)
