The main reason I have both phones (only one stays active at a time) is because more often then not my iPhone absolutely infuriates me. There are so many things I love about the iPhone, and I have no problems with usability, it's dead simple to use. But what I do have a problem with is the persistent call-failures (which my blackberry does not have) the persistent freezing of apps and slow-down of the OS (i'm aware this has been addressed in the 3Gs but AT&T won't let me upgrade until 2010 so I'll wait until the next gen iPhone)

There are just a lot of frustrating things about it as a Cell-Phone. I've had 6 replacement phones so far. I think that's just insane. It's a great media device, but not a great cell-phone.

Thus. I have both.

i have a blackberry for work and use an iphone as my personal phone. i hate the blackberry.

Get The Bold!!!!. Period!!!!

i own a blackberry curve 8310, it's EDGE, but pages load, (less the 5 seconds) blackberry is a powerful OS, but it freezes sometimes. The reason i didn't get an iphone 3G, was because
-i owned an ipod touch
-i text a lot! and the virtual iphone keyboard is TOOOO SLOW!!!!!!!!!!
-iphone is very FRAGILE!!!!!!!

i have a friend who owns the bold, and its 3G, the screen is very high quality!,
and its very luxurious,

the blackberry storm, is alright, but verizon wireless, only has it running on EDGE!, not 3G =(

anyways blackberry is awesome!

That's not actually true. The Storm is on verizon's EVDO network which is the CDMA equivalent to our GSM 3G network/speed.

Plus it also has GSM for when traveling abroad.

Get the Bold. I recently sold my iPhone and havent looked back. If you insist on getting a touchscreen BB, wait for the Storm 2

I miss the ipod functionality and and the large touchscreen, but there are the countless other bugs and shortcomings that annoyed me too much.

OS slowdowns, lagging virtual keyboard, lack of suitable notification customization pushed me to the BB platform

If you want to easily swap a sim card you will have to sign up with a BB plan.

Presently, the Bold is as good as it gets. It has the fastest processor of any BB and as was pointed out earlier in this thread, the Storm has far too many issues to be considered a viable solution.

I am thinking about making the switch and possibly switching back and forth between the two. I used to have a BB before I switched to the iPhone. The thing that sucks is I have horrible service on my iPhone at home so that's why I'm considering the switch.

I'd go with the bold if I was forced to use a BB over the iPhone. Luckily, I work IT for a call center and was able to convince the "higher ups" to let me use my iphone on our network.
