Does anyone use their 12" Macbook with a 27" Thunderbolt Display?

I have the chance to get a nice used Thunderbolt display... does anyone use one of these with their 12 inch Macbook? Will it even work? I can't find anything online except where it talks about adapters and so on (which I don't mind getting) but will it even work, and if anyone uses the larger display with your Macbook, do you notice any lag or issues?

I believe the Thunderbolt Display cannot be used but the older Cinema Display can with the appropriate adapters.

It will not work. You need the older 27” LED Cinema Display or else 2009 or 2010 27” iMac. See here:

Thanks EugW! I got your reply in my other thread, and ordered the adapter, now that i realize my "Thunderbolt display" is actually a cinema display. Thanks for the info!
