If you add 3G cellphone connectivity, you might as well get an iPhone instead.
I do think Apple will up the maximum flash memory on the iPhone to 64 GB with the iPhone 5, though. And the new 5G iPod touch due September 2011 will likely get 128 GB of flash RAM, which will finally allow Apple to phase out the iPod classic.
actually not really. Im not payin 40 buks a month for the iphone but I would pay 15 buks a month or whatever it is and have internet on my touch everywhere.
I agree. I'm tired of reading "if you want an ipod with 3G get an iphone" throughout these threads. I don't want a voice plan with a carrier to get an internet connected device that fits in your pocket. I'd love to have a pay as you go scheme just like the ipad 3G on an ipod 3G. As I have said before I think it will eventually happen but not until the Verizon market is saturated and iPhone sales plateau. Then apple will finally bring the ipod to the 3G or 4G party.
