it shows on white screen bleeding black flickering on the top of the screen like where the clock is towards the iPhone logo on the upper left. Do you think it will go away?

You don't really see it unless you really look at it.. But I'm OCD and I noticed the imperfection and it kinda annoys me. Now, do you think they have stock in stores now? I don't want a refurb I want a brand new replacement.

Ironically a refurb is tested more heavily than a brand-new replacement. So if you're real OCD about the issue you'd accept a refurb, otherwise you're likely to go through 5 or 6 phones and not be satisfied. Just get it replaced, and naturally check that the replacement is to your meticulous satisfaction in-store before accepting it.

I seriously doubt they have refurbs at this point but they probably are the brown box replacement phones.

I mean facing down I don't see it. When I look at it sideways, that's when I see the bleeding up top. Mind you it's a faint bleeding, but I do see it when I focus.

If you're seeing black flickering then something is seriously wrong.

Post a picture of it.

It's really faint, unless you really have the phone in front of you. Again I can see it because I'm OCD and I'm a sucker for perfection.

I'm very OCD too last year took me 5 iPhone 6 each one came with dead/stuck or even dust under screen.
But this year I got lucky I was planning to be playing the Apple exchange lottery game again.
I didn't believe my eyes when I checked my iPhone 6s no yellow screen or dead/stuck pixel or light bleed or scruff s marks.

I hope you get a perfect one Good luck.

Then you should NOT get any LCD based display. The iPhone 7 may have an OLED but ALL LCD have LED backlights on the sides that channel light behind the screen using a reflective channel. The is NO WAY to make them 100% uniform and your will NEVER find one.

I dont mean to give you more headachge but:

What's your response to this post I found?
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/anyone-get-a-factory-defect.1920934/page-5#post-21969772

Mine is also affected by this post and I'm OCD like you :(
That was exactly my problem with bleeding. Hexxed explained it perfectly too, very faint but it seems like a pressure point at the edge. I hated it and I'm OCD so I want perfection, I eventually got it replaced today. I called Apple and I wont going to budge on waiting I wanted it now, so they hunt one for me. Granted it was 45mins drive... I'd rather drive that than wait 2-4 weeks or so.

Advice to everyone who have issues, contact Apple and demand same day replacement. Do not settle for less. I told the lady I am not waiting for a Genius Bar appointment, which would be at the mercy of Apple stock. Or order a new one with 3-4 weeks shipment. The Plus is super high demand so ymmv. Good luck

Not even realizing that was an issue, I had already applied a BestSkinsEver back protector as well as a CINDER glass protector on this.

Now I'm not sure if I want to get it exchange....ugh!

I wished I known about this issue before I put everything on my phone.

Me too haha. I already applied my screen protectors and case. I had to call it a lost and just had to redo the whole thing over on the new one again.

That might be true but who wants a refurb a few days after buying a brand new device?

Yes Newton, perfect.

my thoughts exactly. I'm not taking anything but.

I'm kinda surprise you got one that didnt have this issue.

From what I've been reading on another thread, people who have this issue went to the Apple Store and noticed that all the demo units also had this issue.

Therefore, I thought it was a common issue in the phone itself.

Regardless I have a reservation to exchange mine today, not just because of this issue, but the battery life has been horrendous on mine.
