Works pretty well for me but getting the occasional 90% reading when it’s doing it in the background. I have a habit of rating my arm on the back of the sofa though so that might be affecting it I guess

Yes. The sensor is very, very sensitive. If your arm isn’t still and level, the test will fail. And in your case of being still but raised, you won’t get as accurate a reading as you should.

Works for me, one of the reasons I got the device. It seems fairly accurate as well.

Not too sure. I got a 94% on my wrist at exactly the same time my fingertip sensor was reading 97%. Of course the fingertip sensor might be inaccurate but this is probably less likely as a wrist sensor is battling physics to get a reading.

I think it’s more relevant to read trends of average readings over a period of time. The watch makes this far easier than a manual device.

If you follow instructions it should work about 8/10 times.

Loop mustn’t be too loose or too tight.
Watch must be on the meat of your lower forearm or inside arm not on the wrist bones.
Arm must be as horizontal and still as possible.

I’m frustrated. My wrist bone doesn’t protrude so my watch won’t stay high on my wrist. Where it normally sits I get readings around 90-92%. If I move it up my wrist it will read 97-98%. Unfortunately my watch won’t stay up there. Just got it so I don’t have experience with the random readings yet.

Try tightening your band or test a different one. I have found the sport loop to be the easiest to adjust.

It only failed once for me, and that’s because I moved in the middle of the test.

I’ve taken several readings since I got the watch this afternoon, and all are within one percentage point of my dedicated pulse oximeter. The watch has also taken a few automatically, and they’re within range of the manual readings. I’m happily surprised so far. (Luckily) I haven’t been in distress today, so I can’t speak to the accuracy when the reading is lower. That will determine whether I can trust it.

I have severe asthma, and am hoping to be able to share the long-term data with my pulmonologist; it’ll be more consistent than my written logs.

Just got up and I’m looking at my readings during sleep, lowest was about 93%, that’s about right , as I have mild COPD… During the day I’m a solid 96…

I've taken manual readings a few times now over the past couple of days and it's worked every time without issue. That said, my mum also got a Series 6 and she told me she's had it fail a few times. After talking to her, though, it seems like she might've been resting her arm too hard on a surface, pushing the face up from her wrist.

Yep. My first reading was 88. Wrong and way too low, but I quickly discovered the proper way to hold my wrist - at a slight down angle and flat from side to side. So far it almost exactly mirrors a real pulse-ox checker. But, if I thought I needed a real measurement during the day, I would carry an actual po-meter.

I turned it off. It’s too inconsistent for me to rely on it. One example, it gave me a reading of 88% when my fingertip pulse oximeter read 97% at the exact same time.

Because it’s a gimmick. If you bought the watch because of this then lol.

First night with watch, overnight readings ranged from 89 to 99. Tried to jam the watch up my arm before bed but by morning it was closer to my hand. I would rather have it give an unsuccessful reading than an inaccurately low one. Makes low readings meaningless when I just assume their inaccurate.
