I heard that iOS 10 blocks App Store apps from seeing battery information such as cycle count, temperature, or remaining capacity (compared to original capacity)... but what about the Coconut Battery for Mac? Does it block the Mac application it as well?

Basically just trying to figure out if there is anyway possible to know battery information for a device with iOS 10.

Thanks for your help :)

Yes. Coconutbattery for Mac works with iOS. I use it every day. Just make sure you are running version 3.4.
