The computer is totally mechanically sound, check out the thread that i made in the marketplace. I don't understand why he would suddenly tell me that the computer died when we ran the hardware test and he spent a good 30 mins more confirming it's specs and ability to run dvds etc. It seems like classic buyers remorse, which always seems to happen when I sell computers.

I didn't sell it "as is" but it was def working perfectly when he paid me. Okay, so I'm just not going to respond. Next time I'll make sure that the buyer is above the age of 25 before selling.

If the buyer spent that much time on the computer and it worked fine, you have every right to ignore him. Like you say, you are changing the way you do things on CL, so that's good. Learn from each experience for the better. :)
