Does iOS 7 have any features that Android 4.2 doesn't have?

Better apps, generally better battery life but the biggest seller for me is the consistency.
Rarely will you have rogue apps launching strange processes in the background eating up battery. Android is very unoptimised, and it's been out long enough now.
You shouldn't need a quad core and 2GB Ram to give a smooth and consistent experience, it just does not add up.
Google would have made many alternative design choices from the day one if they had known what it would grow into. Because the framework is very open, it leaves a greater margin for error.
It does a few things better than iOS. The main one is the freedom to move data back and forth without having to mess around with iTunes.
I think Apple have almost struck a perfect balance with the seamless integration between apps but this isn't clearly explained. In it's simplicity it can actually make some actions more awkward.

You've just contradicted your own point.
First you say iOS is optimised purely because Apple makes the hardware, no matter the capability of that hardware, then you say it's slow because the hardware is old.
Totally agree on on this one. Droid fans are often bragging about how superior specs on their phones are compared to iPhones. Most of them just don't get it that hardware and software should work hand in hand as seamlessly and optimised as possible to give a smooth and great performance. I've been meddling with my dad's Galaxy S3 on the latest firmware and it just lags overall, despite me already tweaked the settings disabling this and that. The other popular thing they love to talk about is how much more megapixels their cameras have. More megapixels simply do not necessarily equates to better image quality production.
I would say iMessage, AirDrop, AirPlay and other seamless services that just work.
This level of synergy between ios devices can't really be compared to gimmicky features.

No, but it was clear that the intention of the OP was to compare Android vs iPhone. If you consider only iOS 7 features, a lot of arguments in this thread are invalid.

No he didn't he never said the iPhone 4 was slow someone else did. But saying a 3 year old device is slow when 3 year old androids aren't even supported or worth more than $50 is a terrible argument.

But iTunes is incredibly poor software these days, and Google Music is "designed to work with Android", and does so amazingly well. It also works on the web. Buy, organize and listen to your music from anywhere.
iMessage is basically a worse version of Hangouts.
Android is very stable.
The Parallax background was there last year.
Almost none of the stuff they added was new. You could say maybe Airdrop but sharing files over an app is of course possible in Android.
Google music doesn't compare to iTunes. iTunes is a pc/mac based program. Google music isn't.
What is so poor about iTunes? Runs flawlessly on any machine I've ever used it on. Heck, even my mother can sync her iPad without help.
Also, iMessage being a worse version of hangouts is laughable and subjective.
When you put google music on a pc/mac for some reason it feels the need to put songs on your device that you never asked for. Even their music app has access toy our personal storage. Its ridiculous!
Google music is an OS agnostic based application. Because its a web application.

I'm sorry but millions upon millions of people would wholeheartedly disagree. If you don't know how to use iTunes, then that is your problem. For the rest of us, we'll continue to enjoy one of the most polished software tools available for smartphones out there.
Slow hardware is slow hardware.
You can't say that Android only works well on new hardware, then say the exact same thing about iOS and have it be a con for one platform, and a pro for the other.
If it's only reasonable to expect good performance on the latest iOS device (i.e. one that's no more than a year old), then you can't really complain about the same thing on Android.
I agree. It's a shame nobody I know uses Hangouts though. It can be as feature packed as possible, but if everyone I know uses iMessage/SMS, then that's what I will use too. To use a messaging app that nobody uses would be silly.
I'm not saying that's the case for everyone; just explaining why iMessage trumps Hangouts despite the lack of features for me.
When you have a octal core brand new phone(Galaxy s4) with 2gb of ram and it lags then there is a problem with the software.

I myself have not noticed lag in the iPhone 4. Someone else said that. I don't see lag in iOS or WP8, I do see it in all android and BB devices. Thats just the fact of the operating systems. I am not trying to be pro apple I am just stating a fact.
