I made a post the other day about iTunes saying my iPhone had 600MB of "Other". I just noticed that I have at least 200 emails in my main GMail inbox and 200 emails in my University inbox.
So are emails saved to the phones storage? If so then that would explain the 600MB of "Other" storage.

Yes, when you download the emails to your iphone and you dont delete them or just leave them there they do take up space.

Yes, this is probably the case. I have several emails that were sent from my iPhone that are still on my iPhone.
