Tried it on today, I think it’s slightly too big but will probably get it anyway!

You don’t need strangers on the internet to justify this for you but it looks fine to me. It’s just an adjustment period, like if you previously had a non-Max/Plus iPhone and then you purchased one. 🤷‍♂️

The only opinion that matters is yours!!
From a purist perspective, as long as the lugs don’t extend beyond the wrist, the watch is considered to be a proper fit.
 
I remember thinking the original Apple Watch was bulky… then I loved it. Thought the same when I upgraded to the bigger size a few versions later… then I loved it. This ultra is definitely bigger and bulkier… but I love it already!

Can I ask what your wrist size is?
 
I think it looks perfect...

And if it helps, I have small wrists (155-160mm or 5-6") and it looks great. You get used to it very quickly.
