Yes Johnny Ive has 1gb of ram because if he didn't he wouldn't be able to tweak the user experience based on his findings. Of course he is now running with 2gb because he is always a step ahead. He's testing the new iPhone os for iPhone 6s and iPhone7 . All the top execs do it. They also have slightly bigger batteries too because they are testing next years os. They've been where we are along time ago.
