Maps is broken with 3225 and 3226. I think if you want a previous version (non-3228) you have to go to 3209.

So after noticing a big difference in battery drain recently I decided to investigate if it was due to mobilesubstrate. I downgraded from the 3228 release to the last release without the maps issue (3209).

I used 3228 for 2 days and 3209 for 2 days. I didn't install any new apps or programs and I pretty much did the same thing everyday. I don't have Skype installed. I found a pretty noticeable difference in battery life. I get roughly 6 hours of usage with 3228 and 8 hours 30 mins with 3209. Those are the numbers I got for both days I ran, and its what I noticed I typically got before and after the MS update.

I'm not sure what the difference is, but I'm trying to get hold of Saurik to perhaps shed some light on this

Hey guys. I did a restore and fresh JB using 4.0.1 on iPhone 4. Haven't installed mobilesubstrate or anything yet since re-JB, but I do have Cydia and phone is jailbroken -- battery is the same as before jailbreak.

I keep reading that 3228 is causing battery drain moreso than 3226. I tend to think this too, it was a major battery hog after installing the latest mobilesubstrate. Ultrasn0w might not help either it seems but planetbeing seems to think otherwise unless he's in complete denial (but he seems cool and not arrogant unless he's unaware of the issue and it's something he did to his phone first before installing it that we have overlooked)

I just created a repo and uploaded 0.9.3226-1 to it.

Can you guys try downloading/installing that from my repo and see if that works instead of iFile/OpenSSH methods which require you to already have mobilesubstrate/overwrite it/then possibly respring and reboot while SSH'ing the phone?

Seems like it'd be easier to just install the version (which I got from saurik's server) by adding my repo on Cydia and downloading/installing it off there. Not sure if it will work or not, I can't see why it wouldn't though. I installed 3209 from a chinese repo and things acted wonky, but that might be 3209 or the chinese repo itself. This is just a file I got from saurik's server and put on my own repo...

Anyways, thanks. Only trying to help and make things easy
I installed it form yours, and it shutdown my phone lol.

^ Really?

I dont see how it can be, I got that 3226-1 deb from Saurik's server and just put it on my own cydia repo...

Anyone else report the same?

Ah. well has anyone else tried 3226-1 from my repo and has it succesfully installed?

Going to see reports of battery life with 3226-1 on new ultrasn0w 1.1-1 versus new ultrasn0w with 3228-1 and then go for it.
