Using Black Magic Disc Speed Test on a 2018 MacBook Pro 13" with 256GB

    Write: 1300-1400 MB/s
    Read: 2600 MB/s

Is anybody else experiencing something similar? Write speed seems unusually low

What are your SSD write/read speeds on the 256GB ?

Each bigger drive is a little faster.
    512GB has 1,9gb/s, 1TB has 2,5gb/s write speeds and 2TB has 2,7gb/s.

Go back to a spinning hard drive and you'll see what slow is. Enjoy your SSD; it's blazing fast!

    Hi,
I've just got the 2,6Ghz 15" with 512GB and I'm getting around 1900 MB/s write and 2500MB/s read. I was going to ask but @Ploki seems to be right.

The 512 does around 1600 mb. 1 tb does 2200 write. There are threads here that go into it.

The 4 TB does about 2600 read and write. We have one for work.

My 4Tb hits 3000 on both read and write, but it varies slightly depending on the specific test Blackmagic is running.

Sequential read and sequential write are overrated.
