I've been told on multiple occassions by an Apple Store Genius that certain things will give away an un-jailbroken phone, but few Geniuses check or even care unless you get to the point where they may send the phone back to the warehouse to be refurbished.

I'd say if you think it'll be sent out and you get a phone-swap, then be careful, otherwise don't stress it.

Heck, I've gotten service with my phone in jailbroken state.

I know i'll be getting a swap bc my home button is unresponsive at times. This is why i'm concerned.
 
Don't worry about it.. They aren't going to do a meticulous search on every iPhone that gets to their store to see if they were previously jailbroken. While the fact that it comes "good as new" when you bring it in (because all your apps are gone etc.) does give it away to someone who works with this every day, they can't really say anything. Enjoy your fixed phone.

Back your phone up now by connecting to iTunes, then right clicking on the phone and selecting Backup.

Then click on Restore in the right side of iTunes which will revert the phone back to Factory settings. You're done. Take it to Apple and get a new phone

Connect your new iPhone to iTunes

Set up as new.

Once done, right click on the device and select Restore.
