Them not selling an Apple Watch without a strap is like them selling an iMac without a keyboard and mouse/trackpad. You can't use the device without a strap so it will be included.

To be fair, the Mac Pro which costs much more then a base iMac comes with no peripherals other then a power cord.

Yeah I think the difference is that the mouse and keyboard etc are universal. The apple watch strap isn't.

It might be more like a Mac pro not shipping with the power cord.

Well technically the Mac Pro uses the same AWG power cord as most machines (including the iMac) but I digress. I agree, each Watch will come with a band but it might be in a different container and not packaged as one because of all the different combos (particularly with the SS model).

I'm curious to see what they do for 3rd party stores like Best Buy. Maybe the watch face will be $50 cheaper then you just grab whatever band you want from the shelf? Would be easier then programming their POS systems to bundle two items at one price (plus can most Best But employees be trusted to check you out properly?).
