the lg 5k has 94 Watt direct power, is that enough to support the MacBook Pro 16 that needed 96 watt?

sounds great to me, thank you!
do you think its a good idea to work with a thunderbolt 3 docking station to power the macbook so that i have the more opportunity to connect more stuff to my MB? sorry for sucking more information! ;)

Up to you. That's my setup at work and home, though. LG Ultrafine 5K at both.

Yes, it just means at full power draw you will be short 2 watts and start draining battery very slowly despite being plugged in.

No, it doesn't mean that at all.

The MacBook Pro takes as much as it can get up to 96 Watt to do its work and to charge its battery. But what it needs is very very rarely anywhere close to 96 or 94 watts. So unless you use all 6 or 8 cores 24/7, it will be charging. And anyway, it is possible for it under extreme circumstances to use more than 96 watts which would discharge the battery very slowly with a 96 watt supply as well.

So _any_ power supply will be fine.
