i don't care how anything is misspelled or misspoken as long as it is sufficiently close to the original word or meaning

Or when people call apple Mac. I heard some say,"ohh your itouch is broken, you will have to send it to Mac to get it fixed. Mac won't fix it if you broke it."

OMG that seriously grinds my gears....I have a friend who does the same thing (calling 'Apple' 'Mac').

Another thing that bothers me is when people who are typing refer to Macs as 'MACS'. WTF? It's not supposed to be in all capital letters you stupid little s*it.

attendence insted of attendance
seperate insted of separate
acapella insted of a cappella
once and awhile insted of once in a while
wala insted of voilà
lay down insted of lie down

Can't think of others. I'm sure theirs a lot more.

You seriously are going to complain about "acapella" when you can't even spell "instead" or choose the correct "there's"?

Some browsers spellcheck programs still think that iPhone or iPod or iPad are misspellings. Good thing I use Safari. Steve Jobs thought to make certain that it could spell them correctly.

No, it doesn't bother me, and neither does iTouch. Why should it? They're product names for goodness' sake.

They're nothing compared to the clear lack of even an eighth grade education that at least half the forum posters around here demonstrate every day.

Using "your" for "you're".
"There" instead of "their" or "they're".
"Mute" instead of "moot".
"Effect" when they mean "affect".
"Defiantly" or "definately" for "definitely".
"Loose" when they mean "lose".

Perhaps the most common goof is using "it's" instead of "its".

I'm not talking about those who speak English as a second language.. .heck, they usually do far better than some of the so-called native speakers.

This bothers me too. It immediately makes me lose respect for them. The iPad automatically "fixes" its to it's regardless of use so I forgive that one.

Jeeeeeeee Wiz you city folk sure are snobby.

As far as the iPhone versus Iphone debate I would agree with you. But misusing the English Language in general is a big deal. It's how we'll be remember by people in the future. Corruption of our grammar really makes me angry( if I was you, it don't matter, me and my friends talked).

This always bothers me. That and the infamous 'iTouch' or wretched 'Itouch' makes me want to commit mass murder.

But I want to do that anyway.

It dosen't bother me when someone does it on a forum or something, but when I read a "proffesional" article where its misspelled I'm not many seconds away from e-mailing the author.

As mentioned refering to Apple as 'Mac' is the worst one, I have corrected people on that multiple times but it never helps :(

I speak English as a second language and man, that grinds my ****!

Also, add people who can't properly use articles "a"/"an" to the list.

A iPhone.........
