That was the "cool" way of saying iPod Touch. It's almost like text-talk - now that drives me crazy.

It's what people who think they're knowledgeable about Apple and want to falsely show other people that they know Apple's insider information.

People typing Iphone instead of iPhone.

Also, typing osx instead of os x or even OS X.

X means Ten in Roman Numerals. It isn't Mac oh es ex it's Mac oh es Ten.

Not really, people have been doing the same with "iPod" since the beginning. (My personal peeve is "iTouch." Just can't get over it. :p)

This. I HATE when people type or say "iTouch." Drives me insane. Call me OCD or whatever, that's just how I feel.

No, it doesn't bother me, and neither does iTouch. Why should it? They're product names for goodness' sake.

They're nothing compared to the clear lack of even an eighth grade education that at least half the forum posters around here demonstrate every day.

Using "your" for "you're".
"There" instead of "their" or "they're".
"Mute" instead of "moot".
"Effect" when they mean "affect".
"Defiantly" or "definately" for "definitely".
"Loose" when they mean "lose".

Perhaps the most common goof is using "it's" instead of "its".

I'm not talking about those who speak English as a second language.. .heck, they usually do far better than some of the so-called native speakers.

I think you mean "language... heck" instead of "language.. .heck" :D

It bothers a lot. But what bothers me the most is when people call the iPod Touch, iTouch. It's like calling an iPod Nano an iNano.

Officially, the iPod touch and iPod nano should not be capitalized. (Look at apple.com/ipod if you don't believe me.) If you are so uptight about calling it the right name and capitalizing iPhone correctly, you might as well do it for the other products for are referring to. ;)

Hey I got this Iphone that I want to sell and get something else so I'm thinking about buying an iTouch so I could have a second apple device to go with my MAC. :p:p:p

I-Phone is the one that bothers me the most. A lot of people I know write it as I phone as well. As other people have said, Iphone, IPhone, iTouch, MAC, referring to Apple Inc as "Mac" or referring to a Mac as "Apple"... even when resellers refer to them as "Apple Macs" bothers me for some reason (I'm used to either 'Mac', 'Macintosh' or just plain old 'Apple computer').

It's ok, I'll go see my therapist tomorrow ;)

When I reset my iPhone's dictionary because words were being spelled wrong too often I noticed it didn't correct iPad and left it as ipad :(

Now if only I could have put in a triple negative and ended that with a preposition I would have really been proud.

I ain't never had no problems spelling on I-Phone, with respect to.

Do I win a prize?

I think it would have been a bit risky of them to put this as an auto-correct in 3.1.3 a few months before the iPad was released. ;) No doubt 4.0 will include it! :D

Someone I knew a couple of years back thought that "force of habit" was "(be)cause of habit."
