After having a boss just like Michael Scott, only a little more vindictive, the show definitely makes me uncomfortable but in a hilarious shes-not-my-boss-anymore sort of way.

One person mentioned they found the episode centering around diversity day, where everyone had different nationalities written on post-it notes stuck to their forehead very offensive. I found it very funny.

I actually have not seen anything on there yet that would offend me or make me squirm.

I don't watch it regularly, but Diversity Day was the best episode :D I hadn't laughed that hard in ages.

"Boredom Strikes!"
*In runs in the little Shreddie's man with a Umbongo drum roll. *

The Office is the ultimate love/hate show. It should go in the same question line-up as Marmite, Opera and Rich Tea biscuits. En mi opinion, it's drivel entertainment.

The best part about the Office is that it makes me cringe. Michael Scott and his ridiculous antics make me cringe all the time. For example, the episode where he had to tell the high school kids he couldn't pay for their college, I was laughing and cringing the whole time.

If its the american office then I don't particularly find it funny (then again I don't find the english one hilarious tbh!) But you have to know the british sense of humour (very dry sarcasm) to which not everyone finds funny or quite understands! They changed the sense of humour for the US version aswell as doing a german version of the office!Ricky Gervais also plans on doing another series of the office sos I've heard!

It's comedy and it's hilarious.

It's a Comedy?:eek: The atmosphere is so much like my former workplace I thought it was one of those Reality TV shows.

It is funny since it mirrors office politicking so much. There have been episodes that mirrored my former working environment completely. If I had handled the situation in a similar manner, I'd handed my pink slip and have to stand in line for government cheese.

I only saw one episode recently and I thought it was great. In all the seasons it was on, I would watch for a few minutes and then change the channel since it seemed slow. I like the main character a lot as an actor as he was amazing in "The 40 year old Virgin".

I love the office! There's no way it's offensive to me. The racial jokes are some of the funnier ones.

About 3 weeks ago, I went to the location of the building. It's about 4 miles from where I live. It was AWESOME. All the cars were there and the film crew was working on something inside. Anynone who's a fan of the show and lives near Van Nuys should go by there to check it out. It's on Saticoy, just west of Woodman Ave.

This is obviously an older picture but if you check street view its there. Listed as Chandler Valley Center.

There are plenty of things that Michael (especially) has done that have been offensive... but since it happens within the show, it's very funny. Maybe some of your co-workers just don't get satire/parody... do they like the Colbert Report?

I think the office is hilarious, I really havent seen the UK version but I know Ricky Gervais and im sure its funny too. The meetings are usually the best parts of the show, whenever he calls everyone into the meeting room you have to get ready to laugh.

I absolutely love the Office! It definitely doesn't offend me at all, since you just have to take it as what it is - a comedy.

It does sometimes make me cringe a bit, but that's just part of the show.

Neither, it kinda bores me. I loved seasons 2 & 3 and thought those were hilarious, but the newer episodes don't make me laugh like the older ones did.
