Does anyone know if the Weather app has a menu bar option in macOS Ventura?

the rest are standard window/file/edit/preferences options. And one greyed out "Add location" in the File menu.

If you mean a menubar option on the right side of the screen, similar to battery percentage, Wi-Fi, etc., then there does not appear to be one in Ventura. Maybe next year.

Sort of, you can put weather widgets in the notifications panel.

edit: Also OP, I just realized that your'e listed as macrumours 6502, and I am macroumours 6502a.

I have no clue what this means, but I thought it was neat.

Thanks for letting me know, although thats far less exciting than I hoped.
I want to be macrumors M1.

As for the weather app, I mostly can't wait for iPadOS to catch up. I have no idea why the same widget on the iPhone opens the app and on iPad sends me to a website. Anyway, those forecastbar screenshots above show again how Apple could have done things. (And/or how it will Sherlock them within a year…)

If Apple Weather app has dynamic dock icon showing current temperature and condition (like Calendar) it will be great for me. I don't need menu item.

This is a great idea as there used to be lots of such apps in the past. Even Windows now allows the weather app to show in the Microsoft Dock.

forecast bar is a great app, been using it for years (& it runs fine in ventura). lots of customization options, too. love it

I was excited too at first until I realised that I was on a free trial and now I am asked to pay for a subscription.
I'm tired of having to pay for OS functionality and features that come out of the box on Windows, I have already paid good money to Apple, I was wrong to think that macOS is feature forward.

that's ridiculous. both OSes have features the other doesn't have; this is simply one of those features.

it's not a reflection on the quality of mac OS. anyway, this is my only mac subscription app; it's not expensive, and worth it (to me).

If you have a Setapp subscription, Forecast Bar is there.

I pay for 2 weather subscriptions now, Forecast Bar and Wunderground. Since they've drastically upgraded the Apple weather app I'm considering dropping at least one of those. They are both great though!!

Although I like Forecast Bar a lot, my subscription is almost up, so I thought I'd try out this free menu bar weather app I found on the App Store: "Weather Forecast App: Menu Bar" ..

Screenshot 2023-02-05 at 4.02.14 AM.png

It's basic, but not too bad overall (I emailed the developer with a few suggestions). I believe it's tapping into Apple's weather kit, so it's basically a menu bar display for the Apple weather app. ... I just wish one of these menu bar apps would offer Weather Underground support so I could display my personal weather station info in the menu bar. .. -[edit]- I found a menu bar app that connects to Underground's personal wx station network: UnderTheWX

FYI: I hear Forecast Bar will be releasing a totally new version of their app soon.. which is good, because I have found a few bugs using it.

Yes, a few bugs. Glad to hear of the coming new version. Hope they don't raise the price for the iOS app.
