and if so, do both sapphire or ion work?
I have a pair of biking gloves. My SS works with the gloves on. They are not special gloves with touch finger tips either. I think it helps that they are worn snug vs loose.
Works with band-aids! (paper cut that keeps opening up)
I think it does. I have had the watch face display on and cleaned the smudges with my shirt and the glances and notifications were swiping as if it was my finger.
Are you wearing gloves for cold? If so be aware of the operating specs. Using the watch below 32 degrees farenheit will void your warranty.
I wore a pair of light running gloves the other morning and was surprised that it worked, even though my iPhone didn't. Didn't try any thicker ones but I'm doubtful. Of course Fore Touch will work no matter what.
It won't void your warranty. Why would you even think this would void your warranty?!?
Mine does not work with gloves. I can force touch, but swiping and selecting does nothing. My nose works great though.
Maybe the thickness of the material is a factor?
good to know... thanks!
Because you are operating it outside Apple's recommended specs. Warranties only cover proper use within the specified operating parameters.
