For me, it hasn't worked neither on my iPhone or iPad since the update to iOS7 and the iTunes version which was released around that time.

Is it working for anyone?

I've tried several things including using an Ethernet cable to generate a laptop based wireless connection and connect my iDevices to that, but it doesn't work under those conditions either.

Had WiFi sync problems with Windows OS, 90% of time it didnt work. With Mac never had problems, working like a charm. If you are using windows, then mostly it is your main problem

Working fine with my rMBP wifi syncing to iPad, iPod touch, and iPhone. All devices are using latest software updates. Although I never had issues wifi syncing since I've owned most of these devices over the last 10 months.

Like I said, do people still actually do that?

Yeah.. some people have something called a music library and not iTunes match, especially if said library is mostly above 256kbps. You aren't the only person in the world that owns an iPhone.

I do. full backups of all my idevices are backed up to my Mac ,only the little stuff through iCloud.

Exactly. I'd much rather backup my 15GB of photos to my computer than my iCloud, especially since even if I did pay for the extra storage I always have issues restoring pictures from iCloud. This is just one of many examples.

Returning to the OP's topic...

It sounds a bit like your devices are no longer recognizing your laptop. When I switched to Mavericks, I ended up having to manually plug-in my phone to my laptop so as to reaffirm in iTunes that the phone should trust my laptop again. Though I did do a clean install, not just an overlapping upgrade.

Mine seems to be working....i have it setup on my iPhone and iPad but actually tend to use a cable as often i'm copying Video files to my devices. However whilst doing this on my phone the other day i noticed it picked up and started a sync with my iPad wirelessly.

I always had issues with the phone not being seen by Windows 7/8 64 bit on iOS 6/7 (never had a problem on iOS 5). I had written a script to restart iTunes, Bonjour, & Apple Mobile Device services every 3 hours and this actually solved the problem.

When I signed up for iTunes Match, I stopped worrying about syncing with the computer so I stopped running the script. Of course it now syncs every night when plugged into power. Not sure what changed. Maybe 7.0.3? Who knows.

Mine has worked flawlessly on Mavericks and it worked pretty well (some hiccups occasionally) on Mountain Lion..

Had to post in this thread because this past Saturday I was running low on battery and had my MacBook die on me. I tried to sync (wirelessly of course) and as soon as I opened iTunes, my MacBook died. Just yesterday I opened it up to sync and now my iPhone isn't showing, period. I've tried plugging in and 'clicking/unclicking wireless sync' to no avail. Still trying to 're-enable' wireless sync, as it has worked great in the past...

If anyone has any suggestions on how to get this working, quote reply me please :D

The iOS Wifi Sync feature has been Apple's biggest turd since the MobileMe rollout.

I've used it on 4 different iPhones and 2 iPads ever since it came out (so we're talking multiple versions of iOS and multiple versions of Mac OS at this point) and I've also frequently checked on my parent's phones to see how it's doing there.

It has never worked consistently or logically or adhered to any sort of rules. It's the ultimate "screw you, I'll do what I want!" piece of software.

I leave it on since it doesn't really hurt anything, but putting any trust in it is a foolish thing to do. When I need something synced, I always go in and force a manual sync.

My experience essentially the same as Small White Car.

I have both a iPod Touch with IOS 7 and an iPad 2 with IOS 6 trying to wifi sync with an iMac running Lion and latest iTunes. Both are hit-and-miss in terms of syncing. Probably 50% success with the IOS 7 and 25% with the IOS 6 device. No recognizable pattern as to when it is going to work.

It was barely working on iOS6 on iPhone 4s with my ML rMBP. But ever since iOS 7 on iPhone 5s and Maverick, it's been pretty consistent. I would say 95% of the time it would show up without plugging into a power source. Same with my iPad 3 and 4s with Maverick with the latest iTunes. Both of which are actually on iOS6...

If you have all your hardware and software upto date ... like Mavericks, iTunes latest, iOS Latest, etc ... it works just fine ...

WiFi Sync Works Like a Beta Program

I have everything updated. WiFi sync is hit or miss at best. Apple to should either get rid of WiFi sync or make it work properly.

Since I updated to Mavericks and iTunes 11.1.3. wifi sync has stopped working... I have two iPads and an iPhone 5... iTunes doesn't see any of them over wifi... Wifi sync was problematic on ML too, but if I restarted iTunes then it would see my devices... This doesn't help any more...

Using for three months WiFi sync and never had issues with my MBA and iPhone 5, worked like a charm on ML and now with Mavericks. Friend also had issues with WiFi sync while he owns mac pro and iPhone 5 but he had crappy WiFi router and after he changed router, issues dissapeared
