My 2 month old 15" Refurb MBP has been flawless. Except for the box, it came looking and acting like a new one. I use it for hours every day, doing graphics and photo work, with streaming audio going in the background all day. It has been absolutely great! Flawless is the correct word.

i like hearing good refurbished stories. i really give apple props for having a great program like that and standing behind even their refurbished products. it is one of the best things about them.

Perfection with a Price

If I wanted a crappy computer and I didn't want to pay much, I would have bought a PeeCee with Winblows on it. I shelled out the extra money to get a Mac... A small slice of heaven where most everything works, and when it dosent, regardless of what it is that isnt working, I can call or go to Apple. I can do things in fractions of the time it would take to do on a shi**y P.O.S. peecee. Apple has a very good reputation to hold up. If you ever call them and complain, they work out things for you. But mind you they are people too and always mind your P's and Q's... My iPhone overheated once, they replaced it and sent me a free Apple Bluetooth Headset ($129 Retail) for free.!!! I love Apple

I'm on my third MacBook Pro. I started with the original MacBook Pro, had major hardware problems and got it repaired twice and then replaced with 3rd gen MacBook Pro. 3rd gen MacBook Pro had major hardware problems and got replaced with 4th gen MacBook Pro. And I just came back from the Apple Store this weekend and got a replacement battery after the one that came with it bit the dust. At least this one hasn't had too many problems though, it would really suck if they replaced it with the unibody MacBook Pro :(. If this one gets hardware problems I'm probably just going to demand a refund, as having to go through this many computers to finally get a working one is rather ludicrous.

Yeah, Apple doesn't like me I guess. The second time I had to send my MacBook Pro out for a repair it took them over a month to get it back to me. And once I finally did get it back, the case was dented, scratched, scuffed, and in overall horrible shape. And to top that off they tried to charge me $1100 for the repair for "a superficial scratch on the LCD that you have to look under a certain light to see."

As for the iBook G4, that was the absolute best laptop I ever owned. It was darn reliable and never gave me any trouble whatsoever. Such a shame that I had to sell it a bit back :( (economy just doesn't agree with my wants sometimes)

Forums are usually full of problems and might scare ppl into thinking that all macs have issues. i know it may seem like im in a poll mode or something but i think this poll will help show ppl that its not all problems out there.

Yes. My "late 2008" 2.53/4gb/320gb hdd works perfectly. I've had it for about a month, pushed it hard, Boot Camped a Windows partition, used Parallels to run Windows, played 3d games, etc. without any problems. I couldn't be happier with it. Prospective buyers: try eBay. Find a reputable, trustworthy seller and use PayPal. You will save lots of money.

are there any members that work at the genius bar in an apple store. more and more im reading that ppl are getting there computers back dirty scratched sometimes both. im just wondering how does this happen? they must notice it. do they just think/hope that ppl wont care or notice?!

My mbp is an older one (08) but its been a wonderful experience. No regrets here.

I know what my next computer will be. :D

Mine works perfectly, although I wish I had the dough to upgrade it to a 256GB SSD and 8 Gigs of RAM. I guess I can always dream:rolleyes:, but I'm more than content with what I currently have:D.

i gotta say the 8GB of RAM was really a great upgrade. i had 4 originally and it made a huge difference. the SSD is my next upgrade but im happy with my scorpio black for now.
