The interesting thing with Sony's DV support is that it isn't really DV support. Somehow they managed to implement a variant which requires specific updates of the devices. When dolby vision isn't truly dolby vision. Such a mess, and they aren't implementing it in their X800 player, so glad I got rid of that one and went Oppo instead. I suspect they have really under powered their devices. I feel sorry for the customer who bought these under the understanding their expensive TV had full dolby vision support.
