From what I understand you order it for pickup at your local store and it will be there waiting for you on the 31st. I wouldn't be picking ours up until after work so hopefully there won't be a huge wait at that time.
 
I was just browsing some stuff on the Apple Store app and then it stopped working. I got the "we're busy updating the Apple Store" message.
Do they normally take it down this soon before a launch? It got my hopes up.
Regardless, the alarm is set at 2am central. Woohoo!

No.. I think it's out of the ordianry to bring it down this early..
 
how can one ensure their credit card and billing is up to date before midnight when Apple Store app is down? :(

From my experience of doing this with the iPhone 4 there was still a 2hr queue at 12pm when I went to collect.
 
does apple ship on release day making you wait a few days after release or do they make sure its delivered on release day like Amazon?
 
Ordered 64 GB in grey for the wife in <5 minutes on VZW.com for $50, & getting $40 Upgrade Fee reimbursed.

I just ordered SE 64GB space gray. I can't believe I'm up at 3:00 in the morning to order a phone never did this before. I hope I get it before 10-31.
 
How do I just reserve this for store pickup? We'll be doing the Apple 24 month financing and they said to just order it for pick up at store and we'd pay then but I don't see any option for that.
 
Ordered 64 GB Rose Gold for my wife via the Apple Store app for 3/31 delivery. On AT&T next for that matter. Very painless.
 
I did not buy it online on March 24th. I went to website now and apparently it says shipping takes 7-10 days. Is that for everyone else?


So that means only way i can get iphone by march 31st is go to apple store as early as possible? Or is there a chance i cannot get it that way?

Best bet is hitting the Apple Store nice and early if you want it on release day.
