Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5)

So I updated to 4.3 this morning and all of a sudden my phone now vibrates twice whenever I receive a text message. Anyone else experience this and know how to fix it?

Thanks.

There is no fix. Everyone has it.

Plenty of threads already on this topic. Not trying to be rude, just saying.

On a side note, I also think it is annoying!

Yes, it's been discussed but after the release of iOS 4.3 there have been so many threads, it's easy to overlook some.

As far as I am concerned, the vibrating is a bug, not a feature. Apple is usually better at thinking things through and maybe beta testers didn't do a good job. I find this oversight (hopefully) surprising.

I'm pretty sure that Apple wouldn't release iOS 4.3 with a buggy text message vibrate...it's a feature.

This topic is getting as bad as the "my iPhone only has one speaker working" topic.

Can we get a sticky for this, please?

I think the double buzz is a good way to know the difference between an e-mail and a text message. I love it.

Yes it's a new feature, no you can't "fix" it.

It's a new feature

The new double vibration when receiving a text on 4.3 must be Apple's answer to better notifications.

...or this is what happens when Jobs who has a reputation of paying attention to details, is not around . :)

How can you be sure? Has it been documented as a feature somewhere?

I was going to say it's to differentiate between a text and email instead of like before where the email was a slightly different length vibrate, but I was beaten to it. It is a new feature.

LOL, we in the IT world call these "undocumented features" That is bugs.

Apple can and has released updates with bugs in them.

Same here. There's nothing more annoying that feeling the vibration and hoping its a text from my wife and pulling it out and getting spam for viagra.. lol. :)

Like others and I have said, it's to differentiate between texts and emails. "That is bugs." Nice grammar. :D

I really don't mind it, I kinda like it.

The (minor) bug associated with it is that it abbreviates some tones that a user might set for his text message notification.

For example, it cuts short the tone that is called Calypso.

The next minor update, we are probably going to want to have a way to turn off the vibration.
