Is it intentional that the M and A share a vertical line, but the A and C do not? Looks like a mistake to me... Don't know why you would do that on purpose.

I have the exact same question!
Someone shared this on Reddit and now it makes a little more sense to me

It appears that there isn’t anything on MR that people won’t obsess over. Case in point, people who wouldn’t buy the Neo complaining and obsessing over the word Mac in the wallpaper. Seeing how the wallpaper is unique to the Neo, I really don’t see the point of non-buyers complaining. And if someone in the thread was buying, the wallpaper can easily be changed. It appears a lot of people are complaining just to complain.

These are as ugly as the UI, the creative icons and the horrible cheap colours - it’s like they melted down a lot of cheap anodised coloured vapes. It’s a nice cheap MacBook but boy have they made it and the UI ugly

I'm not complaining, I'm pointing something out I noticed and asking if others noticed it, too. It's an interesting mistake from a company with a history of great industrial and advertising design.

And I am very interested in buying the Neo. In fact, I would like to be buying hundreds of them a year for the school I work at if it were just my call. Additionally, I will buy one personally if my M1 Air dies any time soon.

Don't make assumptions and complain about people "complaining".

When Apple opens new physical stores, MacRumors posts the direct link of the wallpapers from the Apple website. Why is it that when new devices are released, we don't get the Apple website direct links of the wallpapers?
Because those wallpapers are available directly from the Apple website. Wallpapers that come with macOS are not.

The wallpapers are fun and nice. Wish the laptop too had a bit brighter shade of colors. I like only the Citrus. Indigo is a lighter version of Midnight Air, Blush is pale and Silver is same as in other MacBooks.
