It looks like this. I just deleted chrome because I decided I didn't want it but these damn links in launchpad won't go away. The ones for YouTube and gmail and stuff. I tried dragging them to trash but it won't work. And I went into "applications" in finder and they didn't even show up. What do I do to get rid of them?

That worked. Thanks. Now if only I could delete Dropbox. Every time I try to it says "cannot move to trash because an extension is open". Meanwhile I have the app closed, it's not in my toolbar and it's not in safari or anything. It's probably my fault. It's 3am and my brain isn't working and I'm probably missing something obvious

If you go to applications>utilities>activity monitor, you should be able to quit any dropbox process that is running, and then move it to the trash.
