You copied the Bioware>Dragon Age>Characters folder from your Windows Document folder to the appropriate place on your Mac (where ever it's kept on the Mac?
Hi
I am a total newbie to Mac, just bought the iMac last week and I really enjoyi it, however I have a problem with this game.
When I start the game and want to login I cannot type the '@' in my email adress. I have tried the alt+' which works everywhere else. I have also tried to copy/paste the @ but it does not work.
Any ideas?
I am using the Apple Wireless keyboard.
Thanks in advance and merry Christmas
Maybe you need to type in a username and not an email address?
The username is the email.
After browsing various forums I have learned that many Europeans have the same problem. So I guess it is a bug and I will just wait for EA/Bioware to provide a fix

Yea. Got the UK version too (Digital Deluxe) and the game says "The activation key you entered was not found in our database." Nice way to treat your paying customers. And then that problem with the @-sign. Not the smoothest game release ever.Anyone got trouble activating the game? It appears the activation key I got from D2D UK ain't working![]()

Just gotta wait for the customer support to sort out the activation key problem.![]()

Deluxe Edition @ D2D.co.ukCan someone locate the game on d2d UK and link me ?
Deluxe Edition @ D2D.co.uk
Standard Edition @ D2D.co.uk
The information on that page doesn't mention about the three items that comes with the US version, but as I checked the addin folder, there's a folder for those three items too, so I suppose they are after all included in the UK version too. Can anyone confirm this? Or has anyone gotten the UK version from D2D working?
EDIT: They fixed my key. \o/
So anyone having problem with the key, nuke D2D's support about it. And add some comment about DRM while your at it...
Doesn't seem to be. There's only en_US files in the directiories, and didn't see option to change language. I don't think the installer asked anything about language either. My understandment is that the PC version has the usual european languages included, so yea...Dragonforce said:is the UK version multilanguage ?

While trying to activate this game I get the following error message:
-------
Activation key not found.
The activation key you entered was not found in our database. Please check the number and try again, or contact support for further assistance.
----------
I copied the CD-key directly from the email I received, making sure the whole key is copied. Registering/activating the Deluxe Edition content worked fine.

Sorry, didn't know.
I have heard good things about this game, but I have a couple of questions. Aren't the console and computer versions different in combat? In what way is it? Does the Mac version include all DLC and does it run well on an Ati Radeon 2400?
Exactly. It's in a directly corresponding place on the Mac - in ~/Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Characters.
It did bitch about my not having the respec mod installed on my Mac, but I just told it to ignore that. I had installed that mod under Windows, though I then decided not to actually take advantage of it, so I felt pretty safe in ignoring it.
I'm trying to find out if the mac version allows you to purchase DLC in-game (it explicitly says you can't buy it from their website), as the website is ambiguous in this regard.
Okay I guess I should have read the readme fileHere is what it says . . .
This edition of Dragon Age: Origins does not include support for
downloading additional downloadable content. DLC Installers for Mac
are included with your game and may be available for download from the
sites below. Please refer to the Installation Instructions section
for more information on how to ensure your DLC is installed correctly.
For more information on when additional downloadable content features
will be available, please visit:

So it sounds like future DLC content will be made available in separate installers for the mac version, or we can hope.
I have USB DAC (digital/analog converter) and active speaker system connected to it, and have no audio problems. So I guess there's hope for those with USB audio systems. Have you tried to change Mac's audio settings using that tool that is in Programs -> Utilities and then the program that has MIDI in it's name (you can actually change settings for other type of audio hardware than MIDI devices with it too)? Also, for anyone that has USB speakers, good luck
