Luckily for the OP he has a forum full of failed "experts" to share their experiences for him to learn from. :p

but nobody ever learns from experts....they have to become an expert themselves before they'll realize the experts are right

Did I write this in Japanese or something?

Some girl i work with was at a party with me and we were all playing drinking games during which she refused to drink anything. I made incredibly girly sweet drinks and she kept turning her nose up at them. She wouldn't even chug a PBR. I mean, don't get me wrong, PBR sucks but anyone can chug it. After everyone (instigated by me) giving her crap about wanting to get drunk, but not actually willing to drink anything, she challenged me to a drinking contest later this summer to prove that she's not a looser.

When she showed up she stated very clearly that she wanted to get drunk. I made drinks and she kept saying that the were gross. She then said that she could drink them, but had to get to a certain level of drunkeness first. The "proving she's not a looser" is embellishment by me, if that doesn't come across then I'm sorry. "Everyone giving her crap" was a bunch of drunks yelling semi-incoherently and we all have to put up with that at some point.

Thank you to those that gave me advice and please remind me to never ask a question again. :)

She wants to get drunk with you, ALONE, so she can have you without witnesses and with an out on the personal responsibility.

stick with beer, she doesn't sound like an experienced drinker.

See if she'll try the century club! One shot of beer every minute for one hundred minutes.

Sounds easy doesn't it?

Particularly challenging around minutes 25-30 and 85-90.

I can't decide which part of this story I find more immature. It's either that you think it's OK to pressure people to drink or that she thinks she needs to drink to not be a looser. Either way I think they whole thing is pretty disgusting. I'd be embarrassed of myself if I were you.

I have to say I'm in complete agreement with you. I, too, like my booze but this is gross.

OP, it's bad form to hassle people to that extent. People have the right to say "no", irrespective of whether "no" means "no", or "not just now but perhaps sometime in the future,"; as arkitect asked - what part of "no" do you and your friends not understand?
