Seriously guys when you pay for a warranty and somethings happens to that item just go buy a new one and don't use the warranty that you purchased.

Pay insurance monthly on your car, get in a wreck and tell your insurance company to keep the check because it wasn't their fault. You were driving not them so what do they owe you, right? Same thing here
 
I should definitely come to your house and steal your phone, tv, and car then. Clearly you can afford it. Ignoring the fact that deceptive and fraudulent behavior like this is why prices continue to rise and legitimate users have a harder time getting help with real problems. But hey, why should you care, the earth clearly revolves around you.

You fail to notice that the biggest difference between me and the Big A is that they're a multi-billion dollar corporation and it should be assumed that everyone on this forum is not as wealthy as Apple executives. But that's besides the point, they're not the ones losing any money. If you can take advantage of a large corporation, do it. They will screw you any chance they get. Don't try and condescend me. If you have a warranty, use it. Even if you breached the terms of the warranty, try anyway. I'm pretty sure Steve Jobs won't miss the couple hundred bucks, which is a huge difference from what you said about how you should come to my house and steal my car (worth about $2000, hey I'm a teenager), my phone(s) ($600), television ($200). I'm not a corporation that is rolling in cash.

I tell everyone that this happens to do what I do

I have friends that have played the "I didnt do anything" card when it dropped in water and Apple made them pay every time

I went to my local App Store and told the guy that I stupidly dropped it in water. The guy thanked me for telling the truth, went back, and got me a new iPhone4. Told me to be more careful.

That was it.
 
I looked at the sensors -- the dock sensor is red, the headphones is white. Funnily enough, only the top of the phone went into the water.. And the buttons near the headphones weren't working.

I put it in rice for four hours. Phone is back to full functionality. The popup went away.

However... my phone has never turned off. Even when I first got the phone (ten days ago), it would only restart. Sounds defective, prior to water damage...

I'm tempted to just go with that route. One water damaged sensor doesn't seem to be too hard to fight... Especially since it can be set off by hand moisture.
