Only damage is a couple tiny scratches on the back! It works fine, no dents, screen is in perfect shape! I'm amazed. I thought I was going to have to break down his door and demand $650. I may do that anyway... Jerk.
I was so excited to get my iPad this evening! As soon as I got home, I went to use the wi-fi in my apartment complex downstairs. As I was waiting for my PC to boot up so I could install iTunes, some guy (a total STRANGER) came over and started asking me questions about it. He grabbed it and said "Can you, like, make calls on it?" He pretended to hold it like a phone and... You guessed it... Dropped it. 6 feet. On concrete. Immediate anxiety attack on my part, I screamed at him for a good ten minutes before retreating to my apartment.

Do NOT let people drop your iPad.
Always defend your iPad. Don't let people touch it. If they look at it funny, strike first and ask questions later. It's too bad that someone broke it in for you, raped it.
Welcome to iClub. The first rule of iClub is: you do not drop your iDevice. The second rule of Fight Club is: you DO NOT drop your iDevice!
That's not possible. There was a stress test done by I believe it was pcworld but it showed that a 4ft drop onto carpet caused the LCD screen to break.I was so excited to get my iPad this evening! ...I was in line for a coffee at Starbucks and had just had my card scanned off my iPad...
To make a long story short, at the airport after four insane nights in Tahoe and two Sammy Hagar concerts, I set my iPad on top of my large suitcase. It was in the marware leather case thank God. Case is black, suitcase is black. Turned around to grab my suitcase and the iPad took a 3-4 foot fall.
I about crapped. Landed flat on it's back. Works fine, no scratches or dings.
Had it a week. Next stop square trade warranty. Have to wait for a period.
Talk about freaking out. Feeling quite lucky to be typing on it right now. Being hung over and traveling with an iPad might not mix.
On a side note, my brother in law is a big PC guy and spent the last four days using it and will be buying one this week. Loves the size and travel
aspects.
Tongue in cheek. Calm down people.Do NOT drop your iPad.
Mine slipped off my bag onto the jagged gravel pavement, got very scratched on the side...
I think you got off lucky![]()
