I’m glad that all worked out well for you.

Some advice that’s often given in the Watch subforum but that I haven’t seen in this thread is that drops are death for Apple Watches, and that almost always happens putting it on or taking it off. Be sure going forward that when you take the Watch off or put it on, you’re over a forgiving surface.

An ounce of prevention you know.

Certainly use your AppleCare

I never thought I would need it for a watch but stories like this makes me question it

What is there to question? The watch isn’t going to fall off your wrist, but you need to be over a protective surface when you take it off to change bands or for any other reason. That would be the fact for any watch that you wear, smart watch or not. A Rolex certainly wouldn’t benefit by being dropped.

For 20+ years, I never took my Rolex off until it died and was too expensive to fix, but it never got hurt no matter how many times I banged it into most anything you could think of. That was one tough watch.

It would’ve been a lot cheaper to fix if you had it serviced regularly like you’re supposed to. No offence of course, but it’s a mechanical object and preventative maintenance goes a long way.

Great news xfusejc 👍🏻 Did it all work smoothly?
Indeed!
& that’s the charge left out of the box, with a lazy Monday. Battery life optimizations need to be made at the software level to make it go back to what it used to be with series 4.
Overall tho, no problem with the advanced replacement. Sending my original back tomorrow. Wouldn’t mind seeing that $800+ pending go bye bye.
