Thats why for the first time ever I bought AppleCare+ with my XS max. This phone is so expensive and seems to be so fragile with all around glass that I don't have the balls to take the chance to drop it without any protection even if I never broke a phone ever.

Haha yes but every things is okay apart from the scuffs

I did the same thing to my XR, I was ecstatic. I said to myself “sweet, now it’s personalized” and never worried about keeping it in pristine condition ever again. It’s like a get out of jail free card.
You already dropped the XR?

Buy AppleCare+ and keep using it without case.Life’s too short to not enjoy your phone.

Next year you will want the XI anyway

Was it in case?

My toddler threw mine down the stairs but it survived without any marks on it but it was in case and had a glass screen protector on it.

If you put it in a case you won’t be able to see the scuffs and maybe it will take your mind off it. They are so minor anyway.

I feel your pain and I get your dilemma!

If it was dented, then I’d offload.
If it’s a little scratch then I’d treat it as something individual to my phone, embrace it and then case it.

I don’t think apple care + covers scuffs like that.

You could try a black sharpie, I don’t know if it will hold with the PVD coating, but it should blend the blemish, where it’s not really all that noticeable.

I’m not a case person at all but after walking around for a couple of weeks with my XS Max naked, I purchased the Spigen Tough Armour case on Amazon for like $14. Adds very little bulk, has enough “bump” to protect the screen and provides a cut out to show the Apple logo on the back.

So, unless those 2 very minor scuffs just drive you up the wall, keep it and protect it a little so you don’t shatter it the next time you drop it.

Please put it in a case. Buy a nice colored apple leather case. This way you will not see the scuff marks yet you will be not be losing money selling your phone with damage. It will look like new again.

I wanted to rock the phone naked when I first bought it because of how beautiful it is. I ended up buying a very thin, cheap case and for the first time ever bought a screen protector as well which both allow me to still see how beautiful it is. Its honestly worth just keeping these things in cases, at least when outside my room.

Hey hey. Sorry about your phone :( That sucks.

A quick aside... OCD is not just not wanting scratches on your phone. It’s a mental disorder that lots of would suffer from, including myself. Not mad or angry, just letting you know :). Before I was diagnosed, I used the term casually as well.
