one monitor = one desktop

I guess the best solution is to make each monitor have his own desktop. So we keep on using single app mode like would like  but on different desktop.
But I am not sure that  will change a thing. So somebody should develop an app to fix this.

And while at that, should consider adding proper "video wall" tiling modes anyway for us multi-monitor users, not just limiting it full screen apps. The current multi-monitor tiling model hasn't changed a bit since the 80's when it was first introduced in the Macintosh II.

The main potential problem with 1 desktop per monitor set-up is icon location. If the monitors don't have the same resolution. Icons maybe hidden or moved because they wouldn't on 1 of the monitors.

If this could be figured out it would be nice.

What they need to do

Apple Needs to treat each monitor as an individual "single screen" with the computer having the ability to control each. It would be nice if I was running safari in left screen and iTunes in right screen and iMovie in the background, for it to move like a wheel.

If I swipe right -then the iMovie would move to left screen
and safari to right screen

and vice versa.

This would be nice for anyone who needs to see two apps at once. They advertise a $1000 screen that is a paperweight. Why can't they use it?

This would be so good if you have 2 monitors and you are working with 3 fullscreen apps. For example, your writing in pages or word on one screen, and on the screens to the left and right there are safari windows that you are referencing. when you switch, it's as if all the screens just slide along. your writing is always on a screen, and you can easily switch the two safari spaces.

But this might not work so well for monitors of different sizes eg. laptop and TBD

Any updates?

I never knew about this problem and just bought a dual monitor setup and can see what the big deal is. It IS a a pretty annoying "bug". Any updates or 3rd party software that address this? I hate that I can go into full screen mode even in my browser and the rest of my monitors are blank. What's the point of that?
