Dual screen with AL iMac?

No freezing on my 24" but I have the dreaded Yellow gradient. Swapped out 2 iMac's already... going for my third

I'll try doing an extended desktop tomorrow and confirm.
 
The iBooks, eMacs, and G4 iMacs needed the hack, or else they mirrored. The first couple of revs of the G5 iMac needed it, but the last model didn't. Since they went to Intel, no hacks have been needed for any of them. I use it on my Al iMac with the $19 cable connected to a TV. There are 2 other cables, one for DVI, one for VGA. These are all different cables than the ones used on the old PPC computers that needed the hack. It clearly says which ones are which both on the package and on the Apple Store site.

You (the OP) need the mini DVI to DVI (or whatever you're connecting to) which as said can be purchased at the Apple Store, then just plug it in where 4God showed you.
 
im bringing this back up because I have one more question. Since im getting a 20" iMac and I have a 17" screen. Will it automatically set the 17" screen to a good resolution or will it thow it at the same rez as the 20"?
 
so I run WoW and it would be able to run WoW at native on my full screen and stuff like vent and internet on my second screen at its native resolution?

Yes but there is a little quirk. In the wow video settings choose windowed maximized rather than fullscreen. If you choose fullscreen it will black out the 2nd monitor.

This has the semi-unfortunate side affect of making the menu bar appear when your cursor hits the top of the screen.

Additionally, I have noticed that sometimes when switching from the 2nd monitor back to wow, wow may have trouble regaining focus (I think usually when i click on wow with other than the left mouse button), this is fixed by selecting the wow icon from the dock.

Well not at risk of your life, but it still applies.

At risk of bricking your computer.
At risk of not getting repairs due to warranty invalidation.
At risk of creating an unstable system.

Any one of these would warrant an "at your own risk" disclaimer.

Awsome this was what I was looking for. So basically have WoW in windowed mode but fill the screen? And what do you mean the menu bar appearin when ur cursor hits the top of the screen?
