It wasn't that bad. I make a lot of stuff out of duct tape so maybe that's why I like it.

My wallet is currently those same colors and I have some shoelaces that look similar with some blue added in.

I don't think I'd ever make something for my MBP. but who knows, maybe a few years down the road.

Edit: I'm 19 and just finished my freshman year in college so I think I'm on the younger side. ;)

where is the *puke* smiley?

other ideas:
spray paint the entire thing with glitter paint
rub beets on it and allow color to set
color it white with white out (it will be a sleeper macbook)
get into your mom's nail polish and give it a french manicure
two words: peanut butter
:p

It looks alright. Then again, I'm 16, lol.

I work at BestBuy geeksquad and we had a macbook pro come, the customer said he dropped it. It looked like someone took a miter saw and just sliced off the corners.

I personally wouldn't put duct tape on my mbp but I wanna get a satin red speck case... just can't deal with the $70 price tag in canada right now... :(

Too bad they don't make a MagSafe headphone port, huh? That stinks that your MBP took a spill. Hang in there :) I think the pic with just the orange stripe is way better than all that green and orange in the first pics.

The colors are the ugly ones, orange and green dont work, especially that green, and you can clearly notice it's tape on the second one, better buy one of those kick ass skins or let it be

A friend i know made this amazing drawing with just a pencil on the whole MacBook and covered it up with some sort of transparent film and it looks awesome, but he's an artist :)

I like the idea but don't like the colors.... the only downside would be the residue from the tape when you remove it.

i had a colored case, but i returned it, because it was ****ing ugly

Let me get this straight....

You returned a butt ugly case, and then did this? Can you return the tape to the roll? :)

Id take that off asap. Surely you can "duct" just about anything, but, doesnt mean it looks good on everything!!!

Same color as my wallet I mentioned above.

Here are some pics. Just took em real quick with my iPhone. So sorry for non-artisticness and lack of great quality.

It's 100% duct tape. No cardboard or cloth. I don't cheat. :)

Nice stripes. That had to take awhile.

I usually make one every few months so I can change it up. (Colors, improve on design, etc).

Then I pass down my old one, or save it in my collection.

I've also made a few for my dad and coworkers (the coworkers actually have paid me haha).

yeah, it took FOREVER  and i have made a few for my teachers, and they paid me... if anything, having a teacher pay you for a duct tape wallet is weirder that having a coworker pay you for a duct tape wallet. :)

Edit: I actually used a paper cutter to get such straight lines.

Nice. Teachers paying you off haha.

Ah that would help. I usually just rip it. If I want to make it quick a box cutter helps.

i like it. interesting, so the spec case was not enough to prevent denting? What happened to the case?

judging how my friend's 13" MBP looks (it was dropped a while ago, from roughly the same height), mine is in MUCH better condition. The speck case protected it. Instead of having a corner of the display completely dented in, towards the base, I have a slightly warped and scratched casing. The speck case has a small nick in it, but it would've been worse, if it had hit an uncarpeted surface.
