And I've got a snakes and ladders themed party tonight. It could get interesting...

I've got a comedy Cheese and Wine party this evening. We can both report back with the mishaps that occur....:p

The day started so well. Lovely sleep, smile on my face, nice jolly jaunt into the office humming to myself...

One hour later, trying to retrieve a days work on a corrupted Quark document with limited success.

<eating my fist>

Have a nice day!:D

I generally don't care two figs about Friday 13.

But despite leaving the house at the usual time this morning, a combination of traffic, buses, accidents meant I was 45 minutes late for work.

Ah well, the day can only improve!

I was also late for work today - for the first time in over two years. Only two minutes, but its still late

I also forgot my wallet, mobile phone and pager

I'm not usually superstitious, but I'm going to be treading carefully today!

Never had any problems on any Friday the 13th. Had some really bad Saturday the 14th, though, back when we used to go out every Friday, and before I learned the "finish any night out with 1/2l of Coca Cola + as much water you can drink"-trick... ;)

Not that supersticious, and 13 is my lucky number :)p). I have no problems petting a black cat and don't think twice about breaking a mirror. I don't walk under ladders, though, but that's not out of superstition, but because people working on top of ladder tend to drop things every now and then, and I don't want to get that in my head (or wherever it might hit). :)

I've been staring at the registers at work for the last 6 hours, which have the date on them and I can't believe it didn't even register in my brain.

Yeah so far it hasn't really been a great day, but I don't know if I would blame that on the fact that it is the 13th.

Karma maybe. :D

Friday the 13th is over rated as a bad day - its usually no better or worse than any other day.

Historically, it became associated with evil/bad things/etc. in 1307

On October 13, 1307, a day so infamous that Friday the 13th would become a synonym for ill fortune, officers of King Philip IV of France carried out mass arrests in a well-coordinated dawn raid that left several thousand Templars ? knights, sergeants, priests, and serving brethren ? in chains, charged with heresy, blasphemy, various obscenities, and homosexual practices. None of these charges was ever proven, even in France ? and the Order was found innocent elsewhere ? but in the seven years following the arrests, hundreds of Templars suffered excruciating tortures intended to force 'confessions,' and more than a hundred died under torture or were executed by burning at the stake.

D

I now consider this one of the luckiest days of my life! The house they are building west of me is ranch-style, therefore preserving (for the most part) a fairly significant portion of my view of the Colorado Front Range. I am so, so happy! :D

The pictures don't really do it justice but give you an idea, at least. Imagine if the new house was a two-storey like the one next door (to the left). I would not have been happy.
